HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon police charged Wilson Manuel Navarro Escobar, 28, of Ruther Glen, Virginia with grand larceny in connection with a breaking and entering incident at a downtown business, according to the weekly crime report.
Police say that around 4 a.m., on Jan. 6, Navarro Escobar threw a cinder block through the door of a business in the 400 block of Elden Street in order to gain entry. He then proceeded to take merchandise and cash from the business.
Navarro Escobar was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond in connection with this incident and on multiple other charges stemming from other HPD incidents, including misdemeanor assault, unauthorized use of a vehicle (felony), and stolen auto (felony).
Between Jan. 4 and Jan. 10, Town of Herndon police officers issued 1oo traffic summonses, including nine for driving with no operator's license and six for driving on a suspended or revoked license.
There were seven reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
