Description

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — The city of Fredericksburg is soliciting public input about racial equity in the city, which will be gathered by staff and then considered by the Fredericksburg City Council in December. As an outgrowth of the council's June adoption of phase one of a racial equity plan, the city is seeking feedback through a survey and virtual listening sessions with the public scheduled for Oct. 28 through Nov. 10. Residents who are interested in providing feedback should visit the city's public engagement website. The feedback will be reviewed at the city council's annual retreat in December. But these steps are "just the beginning of these efforts," the city said. "The City will continue to seek public input in an ongoing basis and into 2021." For more information, residents also can call 540-372-1010.
