FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Two local residents who were wanted by police were arrested earlier this week and also charged with multiple drug offenses, the Stafford County Sheriff's Department announced on Friday.
Meredith Williams, 31, Stafford, and Cornelle Parker, 35, Dumfries, were taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after police were notified that the vehicle of someone who was wanted by police was parked on South Gateway Drive, police said.
Sheriff's deputies approached the vehicle, where they found Parker, who was wanted for violating the terms of his release from jail, police said. Parker initially refused to get out of the vehicle, police said but was eventually detained by police. An investigation also determined that Williams has an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.
