FREDERICKSBURG, VA — A Virginia lottery ticket sold at a Fredericksburg Royal Farms store on New Year's Day is among four statewide that turned a resident into a millionaire at the start of 2021, the Virginia Lottery announced. The ticket, one of four $1 million winners, was ticket 426685 which was purchased at the Royal Farms store at 5301 Jefferson Davis Highway in Fredericksburg. Winning numbers for the New Year's Millionaire Raffle were selected and the four $1 million tickets were selected in Farmville, Woodbridge, Virginia Beach and Fredericksburg, lottery officials announced. Now, the million dollar question becomes: Who has the four $1 million winning tickets? In addition to the four $1 million winners, six additional $100,000 tickets were sold across the state and 500 people also were selected to win $500. According to Virginia lottery officials, the lottery generates $1.6 million per day for the state's K-12 schools. State residents generated more than $595 million for funding public education in fiscal year 2020.
