SPRINGFIELD, VA — Fairfax County Police responded to a shooting in the area of West Springfield on Monday. Police were called to the 7200 block of Olde Lantern Way around 12:30 p.m. for the incident involving two adults. According to police, a man was shot and went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The scene is contained, and a person was taken into custody. Per a police spokesperson, detectives believe the shooting was a domestic-related incident based on preliminary investigations. The suspect and victim are known to each other. There is no ongoing threat to public safety. The suspect's identity has not been released.
