Description
I am a resident on State Street, and my property was remediated in 2018. Since then, the sod has died (100% Kentucky bluegrass) which was procured by the lowest bidder through LaBella. I have seen the same fate for my neighbors whose properties were remediated in 2017, 2018, and 2019. I wrote to my City Councilor, Ms. Salemendra, in November, and I have yet to hear from her. I wrote to the DEC and Mr. Chuisano said I was negligent in the care of my property. I don't have the energy to fight City Hall nor the State of New York nor the lowest bidder. Government doesn't care about us. Here is my solution.
I will be over-seeding my property this Spring with quality soil and seed. If you are in the same situation, let's do this together. I will pay for 1/2 of the soil if you pay for the other half of the soil needed for your property, and we all pitch-in to do the work. To show my good faith, I will do my property last and pay for the complete soil restoration of my own property.
If you wish to join me, please respond by April 1.
