ASHBURN, VA — Ashburn dancer Noah Epps has advanced to the next stage of "America's Got Talent" and will be featured on the episode that airs Tuesday, July 28 at 8 p.m. ET. The new round, called the Judge Cuts, will allow viewers to see more of Noah's contemporary dance style. His first appearance on "America's Got Talent" on June 16 drew rave reviews from celebrity judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara as well as Simon Cowell who said Noah will be one to watch as the current season of "America's Got Talent" moves on. The Judges Cuts round is only one episode. The judges rewatch the acts on a giant movie screen on a stage — with the judges socially distancing while sitting in chairs — while some contestants will perform again virtually. Forty-four contestants, possibly including the talented Noah Epps, will be selected to perform over four weeks of live shows beginning Aug. 11. Noah, a rising seventh grader at Ashburn's Stone Hill Middle School, trains at Studio Bleu Dance Center. He trains in ballet, lyrical and contemporary dance, but his focus is on hip-hop. He also trains in street-based styles such as a Brukup, FlexN, Animation and Bonebreaking. As an actor, Noah is able to bring his dance performances to life, portraying characters and telling a story. "I love performing with a character to show to the audience and not just a freestyle performance," Noah told Patch in an interview last month. The story of a little boy on strings that he told in his auditions round performance on "America's Got Talent" is his favorite routine so far. On that show, Noah demonstrated his flexibility, which drew cheers and expressions of disbelief. Noah said he inherited his flexibility from his mother, who is also double-jointed. The Ashburn 12-year-old's solo performance on the June 16 episode has already gotten more than 90 million views on Facebook and almost 50 million views on YouTube.
