Description
ASHBURN, VA — Officials closed down the northbound lanes of the Loudoun County Parkway near the interchange with Route 7 when a dump truck pulled down power lines after leaving its bed raised, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Thorndike Street and the Loudoun County Parkway in the One Loudoun area. Traffic from Thorndike Street was forced to turn south onto the parkway due to the accident and traffic signal outage, the sheriff's office said.
No one was injured in the accident. Crews from the Virginia Department of Transportation and Dominion Energy arrived at the scene to work on the downed wires and traffic signal.
