ARLINGTON, VA — The Arlington Chamber of Commerce hosted the 34th Annual Arlington Best Business Awards Tuesday night at the Crowne Plaza Crystal City-Washington, D.C. Due to the coronavirus, attendees were able to join the festivities in person and virtually. The Best Business Awards recognizes local companies that have delivered consistent and exceptional service to their customers. In addition these are industry leaders and businesses that offer a unique approach to delivering goods and services, achieve significant growth or stability, demonstrated interested in promoting the success of the Arlington community, and are committed to diversity and inclusion. The 2020 Best Business Award winners are:Design Powers - 2020 Home-Based Business of the YearArlington Strategy, TriVistaUSA Design + Build - 2020 Service Small Businesses of the YearCasual Adventure - 2020 Retail Small Business of the YearDTS - 2020 Technology Small Business of the YearArlington Free Clinic - 2020 Nonprofit of the YearAT&T, Virginia Hospital Center - 2020 Large Businesses of the Year"This year's winners provide exceptional value to their clients as well as to the greater community," said Chamber President and CEO Kate Bates, in a release.. "We are proud to present this year's winners with these well-deserved awards and thank them for their continued investment in Arlington." Following the awards presentation, the Chamber inducted former Arlington County Board Member Erik Gutshall into the Arlington Business Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors individuals with a connection to Arlington who have demonstrated a long record of successful management, expertise, and business skills, and made notable achievements. Gutshall, who owned Clarendon Home Services, stepped down from the County Board earlier this year after being diagnosed with cancer. He died on April 16, leaving behind his wife, Renee, and their three children in the Clarendon neighborhood.
