NoVa TEEN Book Festival Canceled Amid Coronavirus Concerns

ARLINGTON, VA — Book lovers in Arlington are going to have to alter their weekend plans. The NoVa TEEN Book Festival Committee announced Tuesday, March 10, it was canceling Saturday's planned book festival due to concerns over the coronavirus, according to a press release. "Our priority, as a festival, has been to create a transformative, positive and safe environment for all of our participants. With the recent spread of COVID-19 to the Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC Metro areas, we are unable to ensure that all of our authors, volunteers, exhibitors, staff and attendees will be safe at the festival this weekend," the release said. The annual festival highlights the work of young writers throughout the region. While this year's festival has been canceled, readers eager to experience the work of these up-and-coming writers can order their books via One More Page Books. One More Page will also be giving away free ARCs and swag with the purchase of NoVA TEEN orders while supplies last. Next year's festival has already been scheduled. It will take place March 20, 2021, at Marshall High School.
