All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. REPORTS RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO (Significant), 2021-02130110, 900 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 4:40 p.m. on February 13, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious unoccupied vehicle. The reporting party advised they had observed four subjects exit the vehicle, walk slowly through the parking lot, appearing to be casing vehicles. Using law enforcement resources, officers determined the vehicle had previously been reported stolen from a carjacking in Maryland. Officers established a perimeter and the occupants were taken into police custody as they returned to the vehicle. Jeremiah Diggs, 18, of Washington D.C. was found in possession of the vehicle's key and was charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Romel Howard, 18, of Washington D.C. was charged with Possession of a Schedule V Substance. A juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana. WEAPONS VIOLATION, 2021-02150156, 300 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 8:35 p.m. on February 15, an officer on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle and made contact with the occupants. During the course of the investigation, a firearm and marijuana were located inside the vehicle. Alahaji Mansaray, 28, of New Carrollton, Md., was and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Removing or Altering Serial Number on a Firearm, and Possession of Marijuana, and released on a summons. WEAPONS VIOLATION, 2021-02140002, 2300 block of 2nd Street S. At approximately 12:14 a.m. on February 14, an officer on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle and made contact with the occupant. During the course of the investigation, a firearm was located inside the vehicle. Cory Perry, 37, of Woodbridge, Va., was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon and released on a summons.
