Press release from The Woodlands Township: January 15, 2021 THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (January 15, 2021) – After much deliberation and evaluation, The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department has decided to postpone the Touch-A-Truck event until Fall 2021. Various models and possibilities were developed to continue with hosting the event in February 2021, according to Township staff, and each model presented its own challenges. Because the production of this event includes coordinating with major companies and vendors and hosting thousands of visitors each year, it was determined to continue to uphold the integrity of the event, and out of an abundance of caution, it was best to forgo Touch-A-Truck until Fall 2021. "This was a very difficult decision, as Touch-A-Truck serves as a longstanding staple event for the community and surrounding area, not to mention a staff favorite to plan and host," said Dr. Chris Nunes, Director of Parks & Recreation. Touch-A-Truck is set to take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, located at 6464 Creekside Forest Drive in The Woodlands, TX 77389. The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department is confident that this postponement will allow this event to remain as memorable and interactive as in the past.
