PLEASE READ FULL POST 1.5 year old male veiled chameleon*Entire Set Up Included). Very healthy. Eating large crickets. $450 for everything (or make a reasonable offer). Set up includes; Reptibreeze “open air screen cage” Double light fixture w heat and uvb lights (replaced this week, should last a while) Big dripper (needed for chameleons as they do not drink still water) Cage decor (drift wood, vines, fake leaves ((must have plastic decor, no silk - it is dangerous for chams)) fake plants, etc)) Humidity gauge (needed to make sure they are kept in a tropical like environment) Thermometer (chameleons need to have certain temperatures at certain times of the day. A day temp and a night temp) Chameleon calcium powder (to be lightly dusted on crickets before feeding) Chameleon vita-mist spray (helps with shedding and skin health, not that he has any issues shedding but I spray him with this occasionally) Misting bottle (chameleons need to be misted 3-4 times a day, if you don’t want to physically spray with a bottle you can purchase a mister for the cage at a low price on Amazon) There is a small container attached to the side that I drop his food in (although now that he has upgraded to larger crickets if recommend swapping this container out for a deeper one as the crickets can now jump out *not that he doesn’t enjoy a chase but sometimes the crickets are able to hide within the leaves and he has trouble) He eats multiple ways, from the small container attached to the cage, from tongs, but his favorite by far; I place the food container (small plastic tank for crickets to be stored in) in his cage, let him eat a few, and then remove it. If there are a few dozen crickets in the tank, you’ll need to watch closely as he eats to make sure he doesn’t eat too many. (trust me he will eat them all of you let him) Either way you decide to feed him he will eat! A little bit about this guy: I bought him when he was about the size of my pinky finger, he is now the size of my entire hand. When I bought him I was told he was a female (due to this his name is Camille the Chameleon “Killa Camilla” as a nickname) although I found out she was a he, I still call him Camille/ Camilla, he doesn’t seem to mind. An important thing to realize is that Chameleons are naturally afraid of us humans. This being said, he’s not going to be a cuddly pet you’re going to be able to hold often and hang out with. He’s very comfortable in his cage and with his routine, he does not like to be held, he gets very anxious (and no it is not the way I am attempting to hold him, I’ve had experts come and check him out, he’s just a nervous chameleon, he sometimes will hide during cage cleaning / misting just because he sees a person). This aside, he is an amazing pet, it’s awesome to watch him eat (his tongue is as long as his whole body), and he does do some amazing yoga poses in his cage. I’m sad to let this guy go but I’ve picked up more hours at work and just don’t have the time he deserves. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE before messaging me and inquiring about this chameleon; do your research!!! Chameleons are very high maintenance reptiles. They’re not like other lizards, I have geckos and a bearded dragon as well. You cannot compare them at all. Please make sure you know what you are getting yourself into before you text or email me. (Do not listen to anything they tell you at Petco or PetSmart- they are not experts) please look up reputable chameleon sites online. I want him to go to a good home, the only reason I’m here is to better his lively hood. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me. Texting is the best way to reach me. Thank you for reading to everyone that’s made it this far!
