SAN ANTONIO, TX — Multiple people were injured in a shooting outside a mall in the city's South Side on Wednesday night, according to local reports. Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Southwest Military Drive at around 9 p.m. amid reports of a shooting, officials said. Upon arrival, officers located four shooting victims, with witnesses reporting seeing three suspects opening fire outside the shopping center. The suspect fled in a black Dodge Charger, and were still at large late Wednesday nght, according to police. The San Antonio Fire Department said four people were hospitalized in the aftermath of the shooting, KSAT reported. Two of the patients were deemed to be in serious condition while another pair sustained injuries not considered to be life-threatening, according to the report. Patch will update when more information is known. The incident marked the second time in just over two months that a shooting has occurred outside a local mall. WOAI and multiple other local media outlets in San Antonio reported on the Oct. 8 shooting of a 22-year-old man in his 20s outside North Star Mall — across town from the most recent gun violence. The victim was shot in the abdomen in an incident witnessed by his young son. Police later apprehended a suspect. Last month, two people were hospitalized after being stabbed following a fight between two groups of men at North Star Mall, as KENS reported at the time. An 18-year-old suspect subsequently was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges after the Nov. 19 incident. — Patch Staff Writer Tony Cantú contributed to this report.
