Nurse Practitioners need to have a skill base in minor procedures to effectively work in Urgent Care or Primary Care. Do we have this skill base in minor procedures to practice to the fullest extent of our education and credentialing? Attendance at this 3.5 hr live workshop: Wound Care is URGENT for NP students, PA students, and any primary care/urgent care professional seeking to learn or refresh these minor skills:
• Local anesthesia and digital blocks
• Incision and drainage of abscesses
• Finger and toe procedures (e.g. paronychia, trephination)
• Minor laceration care - adhesives, staple, sutures, steri-strips
