Description
From the City of Irving:
Posted on January 22, 2020
The City of Irving has initiated a downtown revitalization project to redesign a section of Irving Boulevard as a multimodal urban corridor. The section runs from Sowers Road to Strickland Plaza. This project will transform the highway into a roadway to accommodate vehicular, pedestrian and bicycle traffic by reducing the number of vehicle lanes to two and using the remainingright-of-way for parallel parking, wider sidewalks, a bike lane and streetscape amenities.
The city will hold two community input meetings where residents and property owners can get more information and share ideas.
The meetings will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Feb. 11, at Jack D. Huffman Community Building, 801 W. Irving Blvd.
