From the City of Irving: Posted on: Feb. 27, 2020 The City of Irving has been holding meetings to gather community feedback about future housing needs. Once completed, staff will recommend to the City Council a policy that provides a roadmap for the next 20 years. Two more meetings will be held March 3. Both meetings are open to the public and will be held at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd., in City Council Chambers. Making Capital Available and Reducing Its Costs for Housing10 a.m. | March 3Designed for lenders and the philanthropic community to discuss how to improve availability of residential development capital. Learn how the city works with organizations dedicated to homebuyer and interim financing programs. Tools, Programs and Strategies for Increasing Housing Production6:30 p.m. | March 3Presenters will summarize Irving's current housing needs and potential solutions, as well as highlight feedback from previous meetings. Explore what is possible to address Irving's housing needs. Meetings will be broadcast live on ICTN.
