Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 3800 Colgate Street about 10:10 p.m. on Friday (June 5).
The victim, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer D. Hoang reported:
The driver of a white Toyota Venza was traveling southbound on Colgate Street when he stopped at the intersection of Park Place Boulevard before proceeding. The driver had almost cleared the intersection when he was struck by the victim, operating a white Yamaha motorcycle. The three occupants of the Toyota, a male driver, 60, female passenger, 60, and male passenger, 7, suffered what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The female driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The investigation is continuing.
