From The Lake Highlands Advocate: By Alex Gonzalez August 18th, 2020 After five months of being closed, Alamo Drafthouse will begin reopening six North Texas theaters this week. The first will be the Lake Highlands theater, which will open Thursday, August 20. Alamo Drafthouse Cedars and Alamo Drafthouse Richardson will follow suit on Monday, August 24 and the North Richland Hills and Denton theaters will open on Tuesday, August 25. The last of the theaters to reopen will be the Las Colinas theater, which will reopen on Wednesday, August 26. Upon the theaters' reopening, Alamo Drafthouse will have several COVID-19 safety guidelines in place, in which guests must wear masks at all times, unless eating or drinking. When movies end, guests must remain in their seats and then they will be required to exit one row at a time. To celebrate their reopening, Alamo Drafthouse will have special screening series. For August, they will "make up for lost time" with films about time, time travel, time machines, time warps. This lineup includes Inception, Back to the Future I and II, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Donnie Darko and Edge of Tomorrow. Read more at The Lake Highlands Advocate.
