Press release from the City of Arlington: February 20, 2021 By Susan Schrock The City of Arlington lifted its precautionary boil water alert for tap water today and has restored the water system to normal pressure, but we realize that some residents and apartment tenants may still be without running water because of broken pipes related to the recent freezing temperatures. Arlington Water Utilities is opening up a free drive-thru water container filling station to assist these affected residents. The drive-thru location will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at the Water Utilities South Service Center, 1100 SW Green Oaks Blvd. Please enter the parking lot from the Green Oaks entrance and follow directional signs to navigate through the line and fill your water containers. COVID-19 precautions will be followed. What to Know Please bring your own household water use containers to be filled with drinking waterResidents will stay inside their vehicle and hand the containers through their vehicle window to Water Utilities employees to be filledEmployees handling the containers will be wearing gloves and masksResidents are also asked to wear face masks while having their containers filledIf you have no water service and do not believe frozen pipes are to blame, please call the City's Action Center at 817-275-5931 so that the information about the outage can be reported to Arlington Water Utilities. If you are in an apartment complex and do not have water service, please contact the apartment management before calling Arlington Water Utilities. Water may have been shut off for other water line breaks in the apartment complex and management will need to contact the City to return service. For emergency water cut offs call 911.
