From the City of Knoxville: January 21, 2021 The City of Knoxville Police Advisory & Review Committee (PARC) will hold its 4th Quarter meeting on Thursday, Jan. 28, at 6 p.m. via the Zoom online platform. Webinar ID: 980 4430 4496 Passcode: 297893 Police Advisory & Review Committee members, PARC Executive Director LaKenya Middlebrook, Knoxville Police Department Chief Eve Thomas, Deputy Law Director Ronald Mills and others will be in attendance. PARC members will present information on cases received by the Knoxville Police Department's Internal Affairs Unit in October, November and December 2020. The agenda also includes committee business, speakers who have requested to address the committee, and a public forum, limited to three minutes per speaker. Residents wishing to participate in the public forum should email PARC Executive Director LaKenya Middlebrook at [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Video of the meeting will be posted at CTVKnox.org. PARC was established in 1998 to provide an independent review of police activity and make recommendations to the Chief of Police. It is the longest continuously running citizen-run police advisory board in Tennessee.
