From the City of Brentwood: January 8, 2021 National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (L.E.A.D.) is on Saturday, January 9 every year. The day encourages citizens come together to show appreciation to their local law enforcement. It's a day on which citizens can show police officers that their work is appreciated and that they understand how difficult their job can be. It's a day for police officers and the public to come together to make safer communities. You can show your support to local law enforcement by: Wearing blue all day Shining blue lights from your home Making cards for local law enforcement Giving thanks to a Police Officer Each day local law enforcement is ready to protect citizens and a little positive recognition can go a long way.
