Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Sunday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
The Northeast Health District added 78 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped for the sixth day in a row.The seven-day rolling average increased just slightly in Oconee County and decreased in Clarke County.The District did not add any new deaths attributed to COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths remained unchanged from Saturday.Area hospitals reported three fewer COVID-19 patients, but the number of ICU beds in use and adult ventilators in use increased.The District added only 303 vaccinations for COVID-19 on Sunday.Across the state, 89.4 percent of the shipped doses of the vaccine have been administered.
