Something for everyone in these socially distanced, unpartnered, styling classes at Howard Park's Event Center. It's time to SHINE again! Latin(Dis)DANCE(d)ClassesWith Jon Green & Bridget HardySunday, February 28 Howard Park Event Center 219 S. St. Louis Blvd, South Bend Basic Beginner Salsa with Bridget kicks off the afternoon, followed by Salsa Shines and Cha Cha Shines with Jon. All of these classes are non-partnered distanced events and masks are required. Each class is $10 in advance and $15 at the door (if space permits--participant numbers are limited to safely allow 6' between dancers in this large, high-ceilinged venue). We encourage you to take more than one class--but please sign-up for each class separately if you're buying in advance, using this page to purchase a ticket for Basic Beginning Salsa only and the links below to purchase tickets for the Shines Classes. All times in Eastern Standard. 1 – 1:45 PM BASIC BEGINNING SALSA, Bridget Hardy If you’ve never done Salsa or it’s been a while, here’s your chance to learn the basic step and other Salsa fundamentals. If time allows, we’ll introduce the basics of Cha Cha. Use this class to go into the others with a little more confidence, or let it stand alone! Learn and practice salsa moves that play with rhythm and layer on your personal flavor. He's taught dance all over the country, and is a Stepper in addition to a Latin dance wonder. A percussionist, team player, and charmer, it's great to have him in the Bend.
