Description
Tons of Salvinia Minima (water spangles) for sale. It is an floating plant for aquariums. It is currently growing under medium light, with ferts and liquid carbon. It needs plant appropriate lighting, medium to high light, to thrive. It grows very fast, but not as invasive or annoying as duckweed. It's a nitrate gobbler, so it's a great way to keep your nitrates down along with regular water changes. Additionally, it also provides cover and nutrients for shrimp and livebearer fry. It prefers low flow, low surface agitation. I bought a few tiny plants from a fellow hobbyist and within a few months, it's densely covered the surface of a 10g and 20g long. Roots cascade underneath the surface, approximately.5-2". I've never seen it sold at any of the fish stores in Fort Collins, big box or LFS.
Tank kept by experienced aquarist (6+ years). There are pest snails in the tank; I've only seen a few, so I can't guarantee pest free, but transfer is unlikely.
Price is flexible; $5 for a small handful would probably fill out half a nano tank without crowding, and given the right conditions it will fill it up rather quickly. Will also consider large amounts in trade for ember tetras or guppy/endlers fry.
