Lead yard Assistant Dutch Harbor Boatyard in Jamestown, RI is seeking a full-time Lead Yard Assistant to join our award-winning marina team. We are looking for a person with an excellent work ethic and drive for success. This is a position with varied duties in our boatyard. Dutch Harbor Boatyard is a very successful yard with outstanding staff and customers. We are looking for the right person to join our team. Must be able to perform job duties with little or no supervision. Must be able to direct seasonal help in tasks as needed. Must be physically able to work in all areas of the boatyard. A valid drivers license is required. The job will consist of many duties throughout the different seasons at the yard: • Launching and hauling sailboats and power boats • Operate front end loader and hydraulic trailer • Detailing and compound and wax • Commission and decommission 118 commercial moorings on brand new mooring barge • Stepping and un-stepping masts • General boat upkeep and minor repair • Bottom painting • Shrink wrapping • General handyman work on yard assets as needed • Yard will pay for Launch Driver course. Lead yard assistant will be able to fill in if needed as launch driver for our customers This is a unique and rewarding position with many areas.
