Description
I am moving out of my current living space and into an apartment if I could I would keep him but the rent + pet fines is too much for me. Mercury is a grey indian ringneck just over a year old, he is starting to develop his ring which is what shows his gender, these rings can take up to three years to fully form. He is an Indian Ringneck please do not get him if you have not handled birds before Indian Ringneck require a lot of time, patience and training is you want to keep them friendly parrots. I'm not saying that to scare you away, it's just the truth. These birds can live up to 50 years, so they are lifelong companions :) Mercury is a sweet bird, he's not really the cuddly type but he prefers sitting next to you or on your shoulder or head, he's adventurous and will often play with whatever you are holding whether it's a pen, or your phone. He will come out of the cage by himself and will fly to you or near you. I have the cage does open all day so all of my birds have free range of going in and out whenever they please. He does not like to step up inside of the cage for me, but he will do it just fine for my fiance. He seems to prefer males but he likes ladies as well. His wings are clipped but when you properly clip a birds wings it does not prevent a bird from flying. If you clip a birds wings incorrectly their flight muscles will atrophy. That is a very common misconception people have about their birds so yes he can still fly, he is just slowed down. He used to have a tendency of flying into walls when he spooked. So good wings were clipped for that reason. He is shy with strangers but he doesn't bite! He had only bitten me once and that was when I was toweling him so he bit me out of fear, not aggression so he isn't a bitey bird. He is on a pellet and veggie diet, which is the healthiest for pet birds as seed can cause many many health problems. I would like him to stay on a healthy diet, I truly care for him. He eats Roudybush and Tropican pellets, I feed both sometimes to switch it up for variety but he likes both :) He DOES talk But he does NOT swear :) "hi" "Good boy" "Hi Pretty Bird" "Watcha doing?" "Come here" Kissie noises clicking noises Fire alarm noise "Hiiiiii" & "ohhhh" "Hey Mercury" "Mer-Cur-IEEEE" He says a few other things but I can't remember off the top of my head. He makes my day with his talking My number is I prefer texting since I don't answer calls of random numbers. I am selling him for $750 for him and his entire cage set up is $900 His cage is very suitable for his size, lots of toys and natural wood perches for his feet. I've put a lot of money and time into him. The pricing is to insure he goes to the right home, a home who wants him and who will love and care for him. I LOVE this bird, PLEASE do not contact me if you know you will not give him the best home you know you possibly can he is absolutely amazing and deserves the best
