SERVPRO of Northwest Portland is seeking a Water Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and support to our growing team. The Water Technician is responsible for responding to service calls, performing services as assigned and following SERVPRO® production guidelines, and cleaning and maintaining vehicles, equipment, warehouse, trailers, office areas and jobsites as needed. SERVPRO of Northwest Portland specializes in the cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial property after a fire, smoke or water damage. SERVPRO of Northwest Portland can also mitigate mold and mildew from your home or business. Primary Responsibilities • Perform production processes following SERVPRO® production guidelines per work order and per Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager directions. • Inventory and load the van/trailer with equipment, products, and supplies needed for jobs. • Set up staging area and equipment for each job. • Prepare rooms for cleaning processes. • Follow EZ Production Guidelines for all production processes. • Perform end-of-job/end-of-day cleanup and breakdown. • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle/trailer, workspace, jobsite, etc. • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle/trailer maintenance checklists and equipment maintenance checklists, as assigned. • Read equipment and product directions and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn correct usage and application. • Participate in mandatory training activities on a regular basis. • Ensure clear two-way communication with management/supervisors and other technicians. • Follow SERVPRO® uniform policy. • Team members should take ownership of their job responsibilities. Identifying ways to be more efficient is an important part of this position. Qualifications • Must be able to perform a background check. • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment. • Ability to follow safety and risk management guidelines on the jobsite, in the office, and while traveling. • Ability to lift a minimum of 50-70 pounds regularly and stand/sit/walk for prolonged periods of time. • Eagerness to obtain certification through the SERVPRO® Employee Certification Training Program (ECTP) and relevant Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) certifications. • Strong reading comprehension skills and ability to follow instructions. • Detail oriented and organized. • Courteous and professional demeanor. • Candidates with previous experience in residential and/or commercial remediation or construction preferred. Hours and Pay • Up to 40 hours/week, flexible to work overtime when required. • 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. but with the possibility of overtime and weekends. • Starting hourly wage is $17.00 per hour.
