Description

Hey, I need this healing technique performed on me that I learned in Taiji class (tai chi) but I need to make 2 things clear first. 1) This is temporary gig and.. 2) You have to be around 6 feet tall. A little background... The way I came across this technique is, I seen a martial arts magazine a while back that was advertising a book titled "Dim Mak - The touch of death" and, at the time, I was pre-med and had taken up kickboxing so naturally I was intrigued. After watching some videos of the author, I found out that this was apart of "white crane" kung fu, and a martial art all by itself. I emailed him and asked him if he knew anyone on the east coast that taught the art. He directed me toward a guy who taught martial arts at Bryn Mawr College who was actually teaching the course free to the public and some of the students there. So I get there and they're practicing what's called "Qi Disruption." now I never heard of "qi" at the time and had no idea what they were even talking about. So, they asked me to participate in a demonstration. Keep in mind I don't know these guys or anything yet. Anyway, he takes his two fingers and, without touching, (like an half an inch away from me) traces down a line from my sternum to just below my navel - he did this three times and asked me to hold out my arm and resist him from pushing it down...well, I was twice the size of this guy and I couldn't resist him doing this at all, whatever he did took the strength out of my arms. So, after everyone laughing at the expression on my face like I'd just seen an alien or something he said hold still, and then performed a "balancing" technique on me. Afterwards, this guy was almost hanging on my arms trying to push them down but couldn't. So, needless to say my mind was totally blown, it wasn't till years later after studying both TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Anatomy and Physiology did this even begin to remotely make sense. (I could get in all the theory but that's a really long conversation) Then, a few years later I acquired an injury that seemed to be resilient to any regular forms of treatment I went back to him and asked him to do a few more times just to see if would have any kind of an effect. He agreed and I didn't feel anything at first but I laid down that night and felt a sort of buzzing feeling around the injury. When I woke up the next day I actually a little better, like 5-10%. So, being that he is no longer available, and, my back and neck are a pretzel, I need someone can perform the technique - which is really simple, imagine putting your hands together and then, with all fingers still touching, you form a ring or a circle of space with your thumb and pinky fingers, with your other fingers spaced out, sort of looks like a pyramid. So you take that and hold it over someone's head for 30 seconds, you'll feel a buzzing sensation in your hands when you do this, then without touching, you trace your fingers of both hands around the sides of the head (technically the Gall Bladder meridian) around the sides of the neck, and then down over the chest and abdomen in V shape (kind of like the open portion of a sports jacket) down to 3 inches below the navel or just above the waist line. The entire cycle takes less than a minute but its effects are subtle which means it has to be done over and over to achieve any kind of meaningful result. Hence, the hourly wage, but we won't be doing this for 4 hours straight, they'll be smoke breaks and little breaks in between so more like 40-45 minutes out of every hour.
