You just have to love it when some recent emigre or a twat from some northern state attempts to tell those of us who actually live here how bad we have it. I have lived in the same location using Farmers Elect. for over half my life. The longest time we ever went without electricity was for a couple of days after an ice storm that would put the last one to shame. A tornado also disrupted our electricity access for almost two days about 20 years ago. We have had loss when transformers blew or a vehicle hitting a pole but only for a couple of hours. During this last storm, we never lost our power for one second. My daughter had 3 thirty min. blackouts. I realize how lucky we were and that others suffered much worse than we did but your claim that Texas suffers from frequent loss of electric power is nothing more than liberal lies, misinformation and wishful dreaming. The rest of the country would be lucky to have the same dependable service that Texas enjoys without the heavy hand of the federal government. It always amazes me how some people can become so addicted to government handouts and control of their lives.
