Part-time vineyard work

Looking for a part time vineyard worker to assist with a small vineyard near South Eugene one day per week. Block 1: 3 acres planted to Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, and Chardonnay. This season will be the 3rd leaf. Block 2: 1 acre planted to Pinot Noir. This season will be the 1st leaf. Block 3: 2 acres to be planted to Mencia and Pinot Noir in 2022. We have a larger crew out of Elkton that can help out with the big tasks like pruning, suckering, and shoot thinning as needed, but we are interested in finding someone local who can work with us on a weekly basis during the growing season on smaller tasks. The amount of work will increase in future years as blocks 2 and 3 come on line. Tasks: Weekly spraying (Block 1) Watering (Block 2) Mowing and weeding (Blocks 1 & 2) Canopy management (Block 1) >Moving wires >Leaf pulling >Hedging We have all equipment on site (tractor, sprayer, watering buggy, mowers, weed whippers). Requirements: >At least three years experience in vineyard work, especially canopy management >Prior experience driving a tractor between rows >Lives in Eugene-Springfield area >Available for a few hours one day per week from bud break to veraison. (Approximately mid-April through the end of August) We will match your current hourly pay rate for similar vineyard work. Payment in cash each week. If interested, send an email with your experience.
