Description
I am trying to find a class ring that was lost by my brother around late 1971 or early 1972. I know it's a long sot but I promised to do it. He worked in the grocery at the Sibley's Dept. store back then and had left it in the men's room downstairs as far as he knows. When he returned, it had been swiped already.
It's a class of 1970 Franklin Academy ring. Dark blue stone. The inside has his initials DJV in it in small letters.
I'd love to find this for him as a gift. Has anyone ever come across something like this or is anyone aware of someone who has? I know this is a serious long shot and have previously placed ads in the local papers to find it some years ago. My daughter suggested this. I don't have a picture of it of course, because this was long before the digital age and instant photos.
Again, it was left in the basement men's room in Sibley's dept. store in late 71 or early 72 - more likely early to mid 72. The initials inside are 'djv' or "DJV' for his name. He doesn't remember if it's upper or lower case at this point.
If you have any information, please contact me through this posting. We're hoping someone stumbled on it at some point and maybe bought it. I'd be willing to remunerate them for it of course. It's not worth much other than the keepsake that it truly is.
Thank You all. I truly appreciate it.
By the way, he was born in your wonderful city in 1952 and I lived there for a couple of years too and loved it. Thank you everyone.
