We are a mid sized landscape company with approximately 15-20 trucks, trailers, and various equipment. We are looking for a part-time mechanic to come, preferably on Saturdays or Sundays because all trucks and equipment will be at our shop and yard to work on. We anticipate that we will need help minimum 3-4 days out of the month, working a full day (8-10 hours), for a total of 30-40 hours per month. *Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts on our fleet landscape trucks, excavators, and loaders. *Routinely detail/wash trucks and equipment to keep fleet clean and looking professional. *Keep accurate records of maintenance in company computer provided software to ensure everything is tracked and logged properly. Keep receipt purchases of parts, tools for accounting purposes. *Do routine maintenance, such as changing oil and filters, air filters, checking batteries, and greasing equipment and parts. Our ideal candidate should know how to sharpen lawn mower blades, hedge bars, chain saws, and other tools. Other desired skills are someone who knows how to weld, minor carpentry, and just an overall mechanically inclined mind. Our shop has a brand new large commercial air compressor with various air hoses for compressed air tools, work benches, lifts, and many other equipment/tools to help a mechanic do their work. However, we would recommend that the mechanic will likely need to bring their own set of tools that they are comfortable working with. We will also purchase the necessary equipment/tools, if needed. Our shop has a restroom, break area, and a great safe environment. This position has the potential to grow as our company continues to grow as well. We will require a background check, drug test, and references prior to offering position. This position has the potential to turn into a fulltime position for the right candidate whom is willing to learn and grow into other areas of the business to become versatile.
