Hartman Yacht Maintenance is a 30 year old / employee owned mobile marine maintenance company; Currently with three divisions serving North Florida to South Miami. Our Fort Lauderdale division is under new management looking to rebuild a solid team. If you have the desire to work on all size boats and vessels, Self motivated, have the ability to adapt easily, have the desire to succeed and seeking permanent employment; Then this IS the opportunity for you! Technician job summary: Proficiency and training in all aspects of vessel troubleshooting and repairs, including but not limited to: Repair and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment of boat engines. Duties and responsibilities: * Systems inspections * Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems. * Start motors and monitor performance for signs of malfunctioning, such as smoke, excessive vibration or misfiring. * Repair defective engines or engine components * Replace worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts * Inspect and repair or adjust propellers * Adjust boat components according to specifications to ensure optimal performance * Repair electrical circuits or wiring * Troubleshoot / repair head systems Required skills: Must have some marine technical experience Have the ability to work under pressure and complete work in a timely fashion Must be able to follow instructions Must have reliable transportation with valid driver license Certification desired but not required Willingness to take classes or courses as needed to advance your training.
