Studio Event Staffing specializes in temporary staffing to caterers, venues, non profit and private special events. Currently we are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to create beautiful and delicious pastries on Staten Island for a new Catering Venue opening in a few weeks. This position will start off as a part time position and hours will increase according to event booking needs. You must be a good listener and able to work with our client in executing their customer's requests. JOB BRIEF *Must have over 6 years of hands on baking, restaurant, catering or hospitality experience *Must be a specialist in cake,decorations and presentation of desserts. *Must be able to work with others, good time management skills and working with others *Must be reliable and available to work on call RESPONSIBILITIES *Proven experience as Pastry Chef or baker *Great attention to detail and creativity *Organizing and leadership skills *Willingness to replenish professional knowledge *In depth knowledge of (ServSafe) sanitation principles & practices, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition *Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.) *Degree or Certification in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking is a plus Please send your current resume and photos of your past work.
