Plant Care Specialist

Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Houstonian plant lover to assist in upkeep and maintenance for our clients indoor and outdoor plants. The job is currently about 10 hours per week, with potential for more. Primary job duties include (but are not limited to): • Watering and fertilizing all plants as necessary • Maintaining appropriate light conditions and orientation • Deadheading (removing any damaged or unsightly leaves, etc.) • Pruning, trimming, and removing debris from planters • Keeping all plants free from diseases and insects • Maintaining beautiful appearance of top dressing and other ornamental elements • Preventing damage to surrounding floors, walls, carpet, furniture, etc. from water and/or moisture • Addressing client concerns and ensuring clients are happy, satisfied, and pleased with our service Prerequisites: • Have solid plant knowledge and experience caring for plants • Have own reliable transportation • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds independently • Able and comfortable to climb ladders and work on ladders • You must be detail-oriented; we don’t do good work, we do great work • Positive, can-do attitude Compensation is commensurate with experience.
