Looking to hire a clean up person / sweeper driver for a part time position that could lead into full time in the future. Person has to have flexibility in his schedule to work the hours needed for the property. its a total of 28 hours per week. Must be able to lift up to 60lbs and have excellent communication with supervisor and co-workers. Job Summary: The Sweeper truck driver is responsible for sweeping and detailing the entire property of Broadacres and parking lots. a) Sweeps property with sweeper truck b) Sweeps parking lots c) Cleans the sweeper truck inside and out once a week d) May clean over night after events 2. Essential Functions: a) Ability to drive the sweeper truck in a safe efficient manner to clean all/majority of debris from the Marketplace grounds (including the parking lots). b) Cleans out and dumps all collected trash from the sweeper truck hopper into the designated trash container. Clean out the hopper after the trash is dumped. c) Cleans the sweeper truck magnet after each use. d) Conducts a weekly inspection of the sweeper truck and fills out a weekly inspection log. e) Attention to detail required. f) Must be a team player. g) No cell phone use allowed while driving the sweeper truck. h) Must be alert at all times to vehicles, pedestrian traffic, structures, or any obstructions to avoid possible accidents i) Safety is a number one priority and an important factor in this position. Report any unusual activity immediately to supervision. j) Shut down the sweeper truck if there is anything that impairs the normal operation of the truck and notify supervisor or management immediately k) Ability to record accurate information if an incident occurs i.e. (car accident, car theft) l) And whatever management or business needs dictate 3. Additional Job Functions: a) If alerted to a presumptive case of COVID-19 at Broadacres it must be reported to immediate supervisor or manager. Broadacres management will follow the recommendations from local, state or federal agencies. b) Cleaning and disinfecting every hour at a minimum will be a requirement for your workstation and any other area that has been assigned by immediate supervisor or manager. 4. Education and/or Experience: a) Minimum education required. 1-2 years sweeper truck driving experience preferred but not required b) Have the ability to speak, read, and understand the English language. c) Have the ability to apply common sense when a problem arises and notify their immediate supervisor. Ability to stay focused on the job at hand. d) Able to maneuver the sweeper in tight places, around corners, structures, trees and power poles or obstruction that may be incurred. e) Must pass driver DOT (drug alcohol testing). f) Must have a current Drivers License. g) Must have a clean DMV report (good driving record).18 years or older. h) Knowledge, abilities and skills of traffic safety rules and regulations and of the precautions necessary to avoid accidents. i) Ability to operate a sweeper in a safe and economical manner. j) Ability to understand and carry out instructions and to perform work requiring good physical condition. 5. Physical Demands/Work Environment: a) Standing - 20% b) Seeing - 100% c) Lift up to 60 pounds d) Walking - 20% e) Reaching - 100 % f) Handing - 100% g) Grasping - 100% h) Kneeing - 20% i) Twisting - 100% j) Hearing - 100% k) Pushing - 100% l) Pulling - 100% m) Smelling - 100% n) Touching - 100% o) Sitting - 95% p) Ability to drive sweeper truck for a 7-8 hour shift. q) Noise level is medium to high. r) Must be able to think logically and problem solve in order to address situations as they arise and format solutions. s) Must be able to communicate to give directions, make calls, ask for assistance, or answer questions, etc... t) This work is primarily outside and subject to the weather in the North Las Vegas area. u) Must wear closed toed shoes while on property. No slippers, sandals, flip-flops or any shoe management deems inappropriate. v) Must wear while on property the required PPE appropriate for his or her role and responsibilities in adherence to state or local regulations and guidance such as but not limited to gloves, mask and any other PPE required by SNHD or Broadacres management. w) Must practice social distancing from vendors, customers and other employees by standing at least six feet away from other people. x) Will not be allowed to congregate in any fashion throughout the entire marketplace, including the parking lots. 6. Relationships: a) Must have open relationship with all departments he/she comes in contact. b) He/she must be approachable to staff, customers and vendors. c) Reports to Cleanup Department Manager. d) Open line of communication and daily updates, with the graveyard security supervisor. 7. Hygiene: a) Follow the personal Hygiene Standards b) Employee must shower and wash their hair daily c) Employee must have on a clean uniform d) Employee must wash his or her hands for 20-seconds or use sanitizer after any of the following activities: using the restroom, sneezing, touching the face, blowing the nose, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, smoking, eating, drinking, entering and leaving the property, going on break and before or after starting a shift. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Appropriate PPE will be worn by all the employees based on their role and responsibilities and in adherence to state or local regulations and guidance. We will provide training for proper use and disposal of all PPE. Every employee at Broadacres will be provided a mask a part of their uniform and will be required to wear that mask while on property. Gloves will be provided to employees whose responsibilities require them as determined by experts such as janitor, sweepers, security officers, gate attendants and employees in direct contact with customers.
