Senior High Youth Brainstorming Session...PLEASE COME! Senior High Youth Brainstorming Session…PLEASE COME!! Hey Senior High Youth: You are all invited to an informational brainstorming meeting about Youth Fellowship and Chapel Choir on Sunday, February 28 at 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall (choir room). We will resume meeting in person next month and need to discuss how we are going to mix fellowship activities with music this spring. We even have a plan for an in-person banquet in May. We NEED your input and ideas to make this happen! All senior high youth are welcome to attend, even those who don’t plan to sing in Chapel Choir. Space is limited to 30 people, however, so please register by clicking on the link below. Remember to wear your mask inside the church. COVID-19 Waiver To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the potential risk of our parishioners and visitors, we are requiring all individuals that enter or attend events at the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church to adhere to the following guidelines. You will not attend any event at the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church 1. if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days of the event and/or have not been cleared by your physician to attend public outings; 2. if you have cared for someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days of the event; or 3. if you have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms within 14 days of the event. Additionally, while at the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church and/or on the church grounds, you agree to: 1. Wear a mask at all times. 2. Maintain Social Distancing of at least 6 feet. 3. Maintain good hygienic practices, including hand washing and/or using hand sanitizer. By registering for this event, you not only agree to adhere to the following rules, but you acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume any and all risk that you may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Downers Grove First United Methodist Church. You further acknowledge that such exposure to or infection by COVID-19 may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. You understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including, but not limited to, employees, volunteers, and program participants and their families. By signing below, you hereby release the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church from any and all claims arising from or in connection with any direct COVID-19 impact while visiting. I have read, understand and agree to all of the above, and acknowledge that I am agreeing not to hold the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church liable in any way should I become exposed to or contract COVID-19, and that I assume all risks involved the possible exposure to or contraction of COVID-19 as a result of my attending any activities or services of the Downers Grove First United Methodist Church. I am signing this acknowledgement and agreement voluntarily and without duress.
