In lieu of our annual "Light Up Park Ridge" bar crawl event, we found a way to help our restaurants through this difficult time. Over the past five years, Park Ridge has become a dining destination in the Chicagoland suburbs. The impacts of COVID-19 have presented challenges business owners could never have imagined. It was also a rough fundraising year for the Park Ridge Holiday Lights Fund, NFP. Our single largest annual fundraiser, the "Light Up Park Ridge" bar crawl had to be canceled. In an effort to address these two problems, we have partnered together to launch "Drinks Around The Ridge!" This is similar to our previous bar crawls, but instead of patrons getting drink tickets that are good for one night only, you'll get a coupon booklet with a drink ticket for each restaurant, valid May 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021, when things are closer to normal. Each restaurant will honor these coupons for a "free" adult beverage, usually a beer, wine or basic cocktail. As an immediate benefit to the restaurants, they will each get a set dollar amount for every coupon booklet sold. This will provide them with working capital now, while their businesses are still in great need of support. Please think of this as an easy way to help support our local restaurants by prepaying for 17 drinks that you can enjoy this summer through the end of the year.
