MANY BELIEVE THAT THE OCEAN HAS THE POWER TO HEAL, SURFING WAVES IS ONE FORM USED TO HELP PEOPLE WITH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AmpSurf™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to Promote, Inspire, Educate, and Rehabilitate (PIER) all people with disabilities and their families through adaptive surfing and other outdoor activities. We encourage all Veterans to join us for our weekly VetSurf programs to share the camaraderie with like minded brothers and sisters. Surfers and non-surfers are welcome, enjoy coffee and snacks on the beach or paddle out to share a some waves with fellow Veterans. AmpSurf provides all necessary surfing equipment and wetsuits, Certified Surf Instructors are available to teach any Veteran wanting to learn to surf.A beach access wheelchair is available for anyone who requires it. VETSURF SCHEDULE8:30 to 09:00 AM - Meet, greet and suit up 8:30 to 9:00 AM – Dry land instruction 9:00 to 11:30 AM – In-water surf instruction 12:00 to 12:30 PM - Wrap-up Anyone wanting to learn to surf should bring the following items: Swim suit, Towel, Sun screen, Picture ID AmpSurf will provide a surfboard, wetsuit, and rash guard. A beach wheelchair is available if needed.
