MELROSE, MA — The city's coronavirus numbers continued their drastic improvement in the state's latest weekly report.
There were 88 cases confirmed in the city the past 14 days, the first time that number has been under 100 in several weeks. There have been 1,646 cases confirmed here since the beginning of the pandemic.
The average daily incidence rate per 100,000 (21.7) and positive test rate (2.17 percent) are similarly both showing recent lows.
"The @CityofMelrose case counts continue to improve," Mayor Paul Brodeur tweeted Wednesday night. "Our daily average incidence rate and our percent positivity are again down compared to the prior week's data. Keep up your outstanding efforts!! #MaskUpMelrose"
