Description
This position is responsible for maintaining the working condition of the non-production elements of the facility, including the theatre’s public, administrative, and outdoor areas. Responsibilities cover the physical building structure as well as all mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and related equipment. S/he manages all rehabilitation, expansion and special projects. Your Responsibilities and Duties: • Monitor life safety systems and ensure facilities are in compliance with safety codes and regulations. • Perform maintenance and repair work to building structure, back offices, stage areas, laundry and breakroom, lobby, lighting, and HVAC; oversee the implementation of all property and equipment repairs. • Create and adhere to a Preventative Maintenance Program and follow and enforce procedures that ensure the security of inventory such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, etc. • Monitor supplies and inventory in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing waste and ensuring that equipment is prepared and operational for employees and guests attending the show. • Painting and paint touch-up/wall repairs • Recommended special projects • Monitor work order volume and prioritize assignments for team as necessary. • Perform light landscaping duties weekly, such as mowing and weeding. • Assist other departments in delivering items from one area to another and assist stage manager/operations manager with furniture moves. • Responsible for additional duties and/or projects as assigned by the Operations Manager or General Manager. • Theater staff to provide weekly list of needs/issues to address • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code. Your Qualifications: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • General knowledge of repairing/replacing plumbing systems • Be comfortable with indoor and outdoor work environment with moderate to high noise levels consistent with theatre operations • During the course of performing the physical demands of this position, the employee is expected to observe and adhere to safety procedures, promoting a safe work environment • The physical activity normally entails the following attributes: Walk more than 75% of the time; climb or balance up to 50% of time; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl up to 50% of time; carry/lift up to 75lbs; push/pull up to 75lbs
