REPORT TYPE MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A local gymnasium in Central Square reported suspicious activity just outside of their windows and doors. 02/18/202115:22 INCIDENT 21001089 IDENTITY FRAUD BIGELOW STREET A Bigelow Street resident reported an incident regarding identity theft. He received a call from a suspect posing as a Social Security investigator. An attempt was made to gather his personal information but the victim did not reveal anything to the suspect. 02/18/202115:46 INCIDENT 21001090 LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED, OP MV WITH C90 S23 MASSACHUSETTS AVE Cambridge Police Officers while on routine patrol in the area of Central Square, preformed a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Inman Street. Upon a brief investigation, it was concluded that owner/operator of the motor vehicle in question currently had a license status of suspended. As a result, a resident of Somerville was issued a Criminal Application for Operating after License Suspension. The vehicle was towed from the scene without incident. 02/18/202116:17 INCIDENT 21001091 IDENTITY FRAUD CLEVELAND STREET A Cambridge resident reported an incident regarding identity theft. A male suspect claiming to be a Medicare representative elicited some personal information from her. 02/18/202116:26 INCIDENT 21001093 LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED, OP MV WITH C90 S23 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Cambridge Police Officers while on routine patrol in the area of Central Square, preformed a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Temple Street. Upon a brief investigation, it was concluded that owner/operator of the motor vehicle in question currently had a license status of suspended. As a result, a resident of Dorchester was issued a Criminal Application for Operating after License Suspension. The driver was allowed by officers to park his vehicle in a legal parking spot, while awaiting a legally licensed operator to retrieve the vehicle. 02/18/202117:16 INCIDENT 21001094 LARCENY FROM BUILDING C266 S20 PUTNAM GARDENS Cambridge Police documented a past larceny from a Harvard Street residence. 02/18/202117:53 INCIDENT 21001095 TRAFFIC INVESTIGATIONS MAIN STREET Cambridge Police responded to Main Street and Windsor Street for a vehicle that struck a bicyclist. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. 02/18/202118:00 INCIDENT 21001096 LARCENY UNDER $1200 C266 S30(1) OTIS STREET An Otis Street resident reported being defrauded of $400. She had responded to work emails and texts from a company CEO requesting the purchase of gift cards. They seemed like legitimate communications so she purchased $400 worth of cards and forwarded the codes to a suspect she had assumed was a co-worker. 02/18/202118:55 INCIDENT 21001097 LICENSE SUSPENDED/REVOKED, OP MV WITH C90 S23 ESSEX STREET Cambridge Police Summonsed a Cambridge resident for Suspended Operation of a Motor Vehicle. Driver was observed operating her motor vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue and during a CJIS Inquiry it was determined she had a Suspended License. 02/18/202119:03 INCIDENT 21001098 A&B C265 S13A RINDGE AVENUE ECC dispatched CPD to the area of Rindge Ave for an unwanted person. A Ridge Avenue resident wanted her friend removed from her home. 02/18/202119:18 INCIDENT 21001099 SHOPLIFTING BY ASPORTATION C266 S30A ALEWIFE BROOK PARKWAY The manager of the office supply store located on Alewife Brook Parkway reported that a male had shoplifted some items and fled the store towards the train station. 02/18/202119:52 INCIDENT 21001100 REGISTRATION SUSPENDED / REVOKED, OP MV WITH C90 MAIN STREET Cambridge Police while on routine patrol conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Main Street and Portland Street, After a CJIS inquiry produced a registration status of revoked. As a result of the traffic stop a Weymouth resident was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle after Revoked Registration. Vehicle was towed without incident. 02/18/202120:28 INCIDENT 21001101 B&E MV IN DAYTIME OR NIGHTTIME FOR MISDEMEANOR C26 LANGDON SQUARE A Langdon Square resident reported an attempted break-in to her motor vehicle. A suspect had managed to lower a rear window slightly in an attempt to enter the vehicle. It did not appear that entry was gained. The incident occurred sometime overnight. 02/18/202121:53 INCIDENT 21001103 STOP/YIELD, FAIL TO * C89 S9 BINNEY STREET A resident of Boston, Massachusetts, was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license after the motor vehicle was observed failing to stop for a red light at the intersection of Binney Street and Third Street. 02/18/202122:33 INCIDENT 21001104 UNEMPLOYMENT COMP, FALSE IDENTITY FOR C151A S47 HARVARD STREET Harvard Street resident reported his identity was used to fraudulently apply for government assistance.
