BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington's two-week average positive coronavirus test rate fell to just 2.84 percent, the lowest level in months, according to the latest town-by-town report from the state released Thursday. The test rate was 3.95 percent in last week's report. The town reported just 76 coronavirus cases in the last two weeks, or 19.5 daily cases per 100,000 residents. Last week the town reported 109 cases in an equivalent period. Burlington conducted another vaccine clinic Wednesday, administering 100 doses to residents 75 and older. >>MA Town-By-Town Coronavirus Stats: 66 High-Risk Communities Forty-four cities and towns dropped out of the high-risk category in Thursdays report, as a dramatic recent fall in cases continued. The seven-day average positive test rate for the state fell to 2.13 percent, the lowest level since early Nov. Statewide case counts, hospitalizations and deaths also all fell over the last week.
