The food drive will take place at police headquarters at 135 North Main St. from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, Feb. 27. "COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place," police wrote in a news release. "During this event, donors can expect to come to the Police Department in their vehicles (with the option to remain in their vehicles), drive to the rear lot, and drop their items off to a number of volunteers who will be waiting to receive them." Donated items should be limited to non-perishable food items and household products. All donations will be distributed to local food pantries within the Wallingford community.
