Our growing company is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are GREAT with people to join our team at multiple locations. Our programs include martial arts classes for all ages, as well as After-school & Summer Camp programs for children 6-12 years old. Work hours tend to fall in the afternoons, evenings and Saturday mornings. This is a part-time position that can lead into full time. We have TWO positions available: 1) Tae Kwon Do Instructor/Assistant Instructor Duties & Responsibilities - Assist/Lead in classroom instruction - Communicate with students and parents about their progress - Working hand in hand with the school head instructors to manage daily school operations - Maintaining ongoing martial arts training and development - Maintaining a clean and professional working environment with general cleaning & maintenance - Drives school’s vehicles to transport students (as needed) 2) Before & After-school Program Assistant Duties & Responsibilities -Supervise students with their daily tasks (games, class times, home work hours, etc.) -Create a positive learning environment through the implementation of positive discipline techniques and classroom management. -Guide unit groups and individual students in participating successfully in all aspects of school -Assist in teaching or leading an activity, as assigned -Interact professionally and appropriately with parents -Perform general maintenance and up keeping (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, etc.) -Drives school’s vehicles to transport students (as needed) Desired Qualifications - Outgoing demeanor and attitude - Helpful & courteous personality - Tae Kwon Do/Martial Arts background and interest in training or teaching - Responsible and reliable - Preferably lives in or near Fairfax County - Good character, integrity, and adaptability - Strong desire to teach martial arts to children and adults - Ability to learn and accept supervision and guidance - High school graduate or equivalent, and be at least 18 years of age - Valid driver's license and a good driving record All applicants must be over 18 years of age with a good driving record. Must also pass a background check upon hired. This could be a part-time or full-time position with excellent opportunity for advancement.
