Building Concepts LLC is a Maryland commercial and residential general contractor. We perform building renovations and buildouts in Baltimore, Howard, Montgomery, Ann Arundel and Carroll Counties. The Construction Foreman directs and leads a crew of 2-4 construction employees as well as monitor subcontracted work. He is responsible to oversee onsite safety, construction activities, and coordination of subcontractors. Skilled in one or more trade; concrete, carpentry, steel structures and general knowledge of mechanical/electrical/plumbing is a plus. Able to read and follow plans and specifications. Proficient in directing several trades and crews and explaining daily tasks to yield high productivity. Must be professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to organize field staff and worksite activities. Able to direct subcontractors. This is a safety critical position. Benefits include; competitive salary with bonuses, health, and vacation. Duties and qualifications include but not limited to: 1. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred 2. Must possess appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment 3. Five (5) years’ experience involving the supervision of construction workers 4. Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations 5. Working knowledge of the methods, materials, and tools used in construction 6. Ability to disseminate verbal and written instructions 7. Ability to effectively communicate with project managers in writing and verbally 8. Ability to observe proper safety precautions 9. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency 10.
