MARYLAND — To help people without internet to sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine in Maryland, there is now a hotline. The line will create more equitable access to the coronavirus vaccine, according to the Maryland Department of Health and Office on Aging, which partnered in the effort. Officials said Thursday the call center has helped book more than 5,000 appointments for the Six Flags mass vaccination site in Prince George's County since the call center launched this week. To register for an appointment, call the new COVID-19 Vaccination Support Center at 1-855-MDGOVAX (1-855-634-6829). The hotline will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Authorities said advocates are available to assist callers.
