(CBS4) – Colorado Rockies shortstop Trevor Story won't be focused on any trade rumors as he enters the final year of his 2-year, $27.5 million contract this season. The two-time All-Star became the subject of trade rumors after Nolan Arenado was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in the offseason.
"There's no need for me to worry about will I be traded or anything that is out of my control," Story told MLB.com. "That's wasted energy. I like to put my energy into my friends, my family, ways to make myself a better baseball player, and a better leader for this team right now."
