SAN RAFAEL, CA — San Rafael police arrested a man for allegedly kidnapping and making death threats against a juvenile last week. Dean Taylor, who is 63 and a San Rafael resident, was alleged to have grabbed a juvenile around the neck, forced him to the ground and then pushed him into a vehicle. Taylor was chasing a group of kids that was ringing people's doorbells in the neighborhood and then running away. The incident occurred on Feb. 12, police said. According to a news release by the police department, the kidnapping victim said that Taylor told him he would "put a bullet in his head" if he rang his doorbell again. Police said that Taylor denied making the threat and grabbing the juvenile around the neck, but noted that the victim had "redness around his neck." Taylor dropped off the juvenile near Point San Pedro Road and Loch Lomond Drive in San Rafael. The victim then ran home and told his parents what happened, according to the news release.
